Installation & Use Guidelines

Last updated: July 2, 2026 · Following these guidelines is a condition of the ForgedToFit Limited Warranty.

1. Professional installation required

Wheels must be installed by a qualified professional tire and wheel shop with proper mounting equipment. Keep your installation receipt — it documents compliance with these guidelines.

2. Inspect before installation

Inspect each wheel on delivery, before mounting tires. Photograph any shipping damage and report it within 72 hours of delivery through our contact page. Do not install a damaged wheel — installation constitutes acceptance of the wheel’s condition.

3. Torque correctly — then re-torque

  • Torque lug hardware to your vehicle manufacturer’s specified torque using a calibrated torque wrench, in a star / criss-cross pattern.
  • Never final-tighten with an impact gun.
  • Re-torque after the first 50–100 miles. This is required.
  • Use lug hardware with the correct seat type for these wheels; never re-use damaged hardware.

4. Hub-centric rings

Where the wheel’s center bore is larger than your vehicle’s hub, hub-centric rings must be installed. Your quote will state whether rings are required for your fitment; when supplied, use them.

5. Tires and TPMS

Tires must be sized within the range approved for the wheel width and inflated per your vehicle placard. TPMS sensors should be transferred and verified by the installing shop.

6. Street use only

ForgedToFit wheels are sold for street use on passenger vehicles. Track, competition, racing, or off-road competition use voids the Limited Warranty.

7. Care

Clean with pH-neutral wheel soap and a soft brush or mitt. Do not use acid-based or abrasive cleaners, and avoid automatic car washes with hard brushes — finish damage from chemicals or abrasion is not covered by the warranty.

8. Ongoing checks

Re-check torque after any wheel removal (tire rotation, brake service) and periodically inspect wheels for impact damage. Stop driving on a wheel with a suspected crack or bend and contact us.
